Overview

DataSapien is a low/no code on-edge data & AI platform designed to enhance existing mobile applications with on-device AI powered with personal data. Platform allows defining what data to collect, how to group users based on their data, which AI models to run and deploy end to end user interactions, called Journeys, without requiring application updates that traditionally introduce weeks of delay imposed by iOS and Android app distribution channels.

Although you can request to be submitted to backend, the user data never leaves the device by default and optimized AI models are executed on device with no token cost with high privacy. Using Journeys, the marketing can create and deploy powerful experiences within hours and take them down within minutes when they are no longer required. without .

Mobile SDK​

Mobile SDK is easily embedded into your existing mobile applications (iOS and Android native, as well as Flutter and React Native hybrid frameworks). The SDK transforms apps into powerful personal data vaults, enabling secure on-device data collection, storage, and AI/ML processing—delivering real-time, hyper-personalized experiences without compromising user privacy.

The Mobile SDK works inside your mobile application controlled by it. Your application needs to configure it to connect to your Orchestrator instance with couple of lines during its startup. Once configured the SDK syncs with the Orchestrator and its functionality is available to your application via a set of services.

The Mobile SDK is available through public package distribution channels for supported mobile development platforms. Simply add it as a library in your mobile application and start building.

Orchestrator​

Orchestrator is the low/no-code design and control interface for managing on-device functionality. Here, you define data points & their sources, external APIs that can be consumed on-edge, deploy AI models, create & deploy customer Journeys and integrate with CRMs/CDPs—all while maintaining full oversight and compliance.

Mobile Backend is a sub service of the Orchestrator that serves as the scalable bridge connecting the Orchestrator to distributed on-device SDK instances. It handles secure model distribution, configuration syncing, API integrations, and aggregated (anonymized) insights reporting, ensuring reliable performance across millions of devices.

On-Prem

Sandbox App​

You can rapidly experiment with business ideas with the DataSapien Sandbox App. The Sandbox App is available for iOS and Android devices and you will given access prior to creating your account at https://account.datasapien.com/register.

Within the Sanbdox App, scan the QR code on your Orchestrator instance to pair them and start testing the Journeys and AI models on physical devices. This way you can debug and test your Journeys before publishing them.

Zero-Party & Zero-Shared Data​

At its core, DataSapien is Zero-Party Data collection and on-device intelligence platform built around the principle of Zero-Shared Data.

  • Zero-Party Data refers to information that customers intentionally and voluntarily share directly with a brand, often in exchange for personalized value. The DataSapien platform allows going beyond self-declared data. By embedding the DataSapien Mobile SDK into the apps, secure processing of a rich array of behavioral data — revealing not just what users say, but what they truly do, becomes possible.

  • Zero-Shared Data overcomes the inherent limitations of traditional Zero-Party Data by fundamentally shifting processing to the user's device. Rather than centrally collecting and exposing sensitive personal information, Zero-Shared Data keeps it private and suggests processing it securely on the device. The DataSapien platform serves as a powerful delivery system for ML and AI models: the Mobile SDK downloads these models, connects them to the user's personal data vault, and runs them locally to generate valuable, privacy-preserving outputs—enabling hyper-personalized experiences without ever transmitting raw data to the brand.

Tiered On-Device Intelligence​

DataSapien employs a three-tiered AI approach.

  1. Deterministic that is rule or script-based. You can create data-based Rules and author scripts on DataSapien Orchestrator and deploy them to be available within minutes to be executed on-edge by DataSapien Mobile SDK. This way you can make the SDK perform an action when the user data meet the condition you define.

  2. Classic Probabilistic [Under Development] that utilises pretrained ML models. The DataSapien Orchestrator allows you to configure and deploy models and the DataSapien Mobile SDK contains everything to execute them on-egde, integratable to your use cases.

  3. Generative makes use of optimized on device AI models (including LLMs & SLMs) on-edge with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) fed from all on-edge collected data held in the Mobile SDK managed data vault.

With DataSapien, you have the freedom to pick and deploy any model you see fit. The DataSapien Orchestrator allows you to deploy any AI/ML model that can run efficiently on a mobile device.
