Segment Definitions

Segment Definitions specify if and how end users should be grouped, based on a particular MeData (or group of MeData) collected for them in their devices.

Creating / Editing Segment Definitions

A Segment Definition is just a "MeData with a value". MeData Definitions specify what data to collect and Segment Definitions provide a grouping of end users based on different values of that data.

The following is required to create a new Segment Definition:

• Name: a language-independent (programmatic) name to be used within scripts
• Label: human language name for display purposes
• MeData Definition: a MeData Definition selected from available ones
• Value: an allowed value according to the Value Type of selected MeData Definition

Segments Definitions are the basic building blocks to construct Audiences & Collectives and specify which users are to be targeted for Journeys & Exchanges.
